The Fellowship of Awakening May 20, 2015

Teachers of God,
We're about to go into our fourth Review. But before we do, we'll looking at some deep understanding about truth, itself. The reason we're taught math is so that we can balance a checkbook, handle money, follow a recipe, etc. What would happen if those values (like 0 and 1) changed all the time, or worked differently in California than they did in Thailand? It would be very difficult to apply and manage. Spiritual law is  the same way. We can rely on it and apply it. The truth about ourselves and the world around is can be applied to our jobs, our personal life and everywhere we place ourselves. It's about time that we start relying on what works rather than our past ignorant efforts to manipulate circumstances or muscle our will upon the world.
These are the foundation stones we are working with this week:
131. No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth.
132. I loose the world from all I thought it was.
133. I will not value what is valueless.
134. Let me perceive forgiveness as it is.
135. If I defend myself I am attacked.
136. Sickness is a defense against the truth.
137. When I am healed I am not healed alone.
138. Heaven is the decision I must make.
139. I will accept Atonement for myself.
140. Only salvation can be said to cure.
I choose to make it easy on myself and accept direction from spirit. I want my learning and my acceptance of the truth to be easy and joyful. I rely on what has proven to work. Spirit works in my life creating health and well being. I reach for truth, it is at then end of my arms, reaching back for me. I let the world of my opinions go. I let go of the boxed in and limited concepts that keep the real world from my sight. I know what I want and I know what works. I do not spend any of my precious energy on what doesn't work or what does not bring me peace. I change me my mind and let things be exactly as they are. I forgive myself my errors and I stop punishing others for their mistakes and errors. When I act upon the truth I am healed. When I participate with the truth, I heal the world. Health and safety are seeking me as I reach for truth and understanding of who and what I am. I choose to be present for my good. My greatest wholeness and happiness are here now. I experience safety and joy in the world filled with holy encounters. I decide every moment to occupy my place in the mind of God. I accept myself as I am, whole, complete and immeasurably holy. I see my brother holding open the door to my experience of wholeness. I accept my place in this wholeness. I heal from my errors and let the past go. I enjoy this moment. I am cured of error, lack and loss. I am free to play and laugh with the world.
We're on the second half of Chapter 13: The Guiltless World. Are we becoming aware of how guilt effects our lives and the lives of the people we love and care about? Are we beginning to understand the tricks of our minds that keep us out of the present moment? Guilt requires the desire to retaliate in the future for deeds of the past. Neither of those are here now. Can we act on what is truly present? Are we content with anything less Reality, Truth, Peace, etc? We might be able to convince ourselves that we would rather sleep, but it's not true. We are awakening to the joy of living as ourselves. Can we take the hand of our brother and move deeper into the present moment? That's what we're going to talk about. How we get in the way of the experiencing the present, where all knowledge and peace reside.

Explanation of Images: The past and the future are like a dark night. They don’t exist and cannot actually be experienced, only remembered. The present moment is like a perpetual lightning bolt showing us where we are in our illusions and opinions. We are the light, not the darkness, yet we insist on being in the dark. It’s not our natural place. There will come a time when each of us has to face a brother in the present moment. We have learned that we are stronger than we think. We’ve learned that our companions support us. But we must take each step on the journey to our wholeness. It is our willingness to awaken. It is our willingness to be jolted out of the darkness by the lightning of the present moment that will get us through. We are powerful. Uniquely enabled to do what is ours to do. My authenticity is like lightening to the present moment and wakes me up. I am startling and capable.
