Teachers of God,

Lesson 167

There is one life, and that I share with God.

There are not different kinds of life, for life is like the truth. It does not have degrees. It is the one condition in which all that God created share. Like all His Thoughts, it has no opposite. There is no death because what God created shares His life. There is no death because an opposite to God does not exist. There is no death because the Father and the Son are One.

In this world, there appears to be a state that is life's opposite. You call it death

On our journey we need to return to the notion of time and what it's for and how the world uses it and how it is used by the Holy Spirit, our Guide. We're entering a couple of weeks of lessons about how to be present. It's very important and yet we are so easily distracted. Most of use use time to punish ourselves, putting our happiness out of reach in the past or the future. It's held there by guilt. What would you see if you could give into this eternal moment? It's Chapter 15! The Holy Instant! We need to learn to be with what is before we go further. We rest and see the peace that is all around us.

Explanation of Images: We’ll either learn from time or use it to torture ourselves. We could use time to teach about the present, the past and future to tell us when we’ve left the present. This space of now is where everything that has ever happened or will ever happen is. It’s where we need to find greater comfort than dwelling in the past or worrying over the future. We are good people, not because will pay for our mistakes, that only makes hell here, but because it’s our true identity. We learn to fail, to fall, to get it wrong. We learn to pay attention and give our journey, however long it takes, over to a Greater Power. We cannot control time, nor do want to. We give it away, stop trying to manage it and accept this moment of eternity. It’s a holy instant and in it is all the knowledge and peace we seek. We stop using time to hurt ourselves and others.
