The Fellowship of Awakening- January 8, 2014

Teachers of God,
We begin again with the 50 Cornerstones of the Course.
Nothing I See Means Anything.
I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me.
I do not understand anything I see.
These thoughts do not mean anything.
I am never upset for the reason I think.
I am upset because I see something that is not there.
I see only the past.
My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.
I see nothing as it is now.
How good are you at being present? Do you know what happening with your mind? Can you accurately describe the world around you without judgement? Without your past conditioning what would you be looking at and thinking about?
These are great questions. We have a choice about how we see the world. It starts with our understanding of our selves. Each and every human being needs to know the way his/her mind works and what it's tendencies are and it's favorite past haunts and attitudes. Do you know your prejudices and preferences? Are you aware of what upsets you? And what you're thinking when you get upset? How present are you in this moment? How well do you see the NOW? We're going to look at the Escape from Darkness from Chapter ONE: The Meaning of Miracles. It talks a lot about what we see and what we could see, i.e. what is there.

Explanation of Images:

We live in an abundant world of light and love. But we are so used to seeing with eyes of fear the world around us where we are in a struggle for our lives. Do we want to look with the eyes of our Holiness upon an abundant world or with fear upon one of scarcity. Forgiveness is the tool we use to get us into this moment where Reality can be experienced and where the miracle of our existence exists.
