Teachers of God;
Week Four! How are you doing with the lessons? Who was grateful to get to 20 & 21? Finally a relief, right? I love this time of year, at the beginning of things when we finally get to some intentions! I am determined to see things differently. I want to perceive what is actually there, not some fragmented, made up idea of how it is. And I today, as i do every year on the 20th, declare that I want to see the world as it it, differently than my opinion of it. So for about 60 Days we're putting the cornerstones into place.
15. My thoughts are images that I have made.
16. I have no neutral thoughts.
17. I see no neutral things.
18. I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing.
19. I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts.
20. I am determined to see.
21. I am determined to see things differently.
I am aware that my thoughts are like the objects I see. They come and go and do not have inherent meaning. Some of the thoughts I like and want to explore, cultivate and experience, but some of them frighten me. I act on these thoughts and they co-create the world I live in and the experiences I have. How I pursue relationships is determined by what I like to think. The world is showing me what I think. I would like to know what the world really is. I would like to experience what Reality feels like, tastes like, smells like and wrap myself in the Truth. I am determined to see the world as it, not my limited opinion of it. I practice the awareness of the world I see as a reflections of my thoughts.
We're up to Chapter 3: The Innocent Perception, Section 4: Error and the Ego. We get to talk about this very notion of how our minds perceive the world and how knowledge plays an intimate part. It's our first discussion of the ego. We'll be discussing the ego rather a lot in the coming year and this introduction will allow us to get a perspective on it's ideas and recognize them easily. We're going to be setting our intentions about what this course is about and learning what this path is and how to get some answers about what we are supposed to do now that we're on the crusade to correct error. We're listening, what are we hearing? What are we discovering about ourselves?

Explanation of Images: We as human minds tend to categorize, segment and divide everything into smaller and smaller bits. And we attempt to understand them as separate from everything else. Reality is no longer available when we do this. We can look upon all things as one; as a reflection of our Oneness. When we learn about the Love we are and accept that as our identity, we re-combine the world, ourselves and everything in it. We can actually see a world that reflects our loving state of oneness. Or we are seeing our desperate desire to be separate, autonomous and special reflected for us. Love brings relationships into our lives. We begin a prayer life with a Force that does know what we’re about and what brings us joy. We cultivate friends and relationships that support our passionate mission in the world. We reach out and support others as well. It’s time to take the shadow desires and talents out into the light. It’s our path. And we’re not alone.
