The Fellowship of Awakening- February 5, 2014

Teachers of God,

We're up to lesson 36 again. How is all this impacting you? When Yolanda and I did these lessons together for the first time it was very cosmic. 'God is in my mind.' (cue Theramin) The belief in separation was so strong. It's not true, you know. We have the natural ability to experience oneness. Lets take a look at how this year is unfolding.

30. God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

31. I am not the victim of the world I see.

32. I have invented the world I see.

33. There is another way of looking at the world.

34. I could see peace instead of this.

35. My mind is part of God's. I am very holy.

36. My holiness envelops everything I see.

I only ever look upon the face of God. When I don't experience the face of God I choose to live as a victim or villain.  I am inventing the story about my life and placing meaning in that tale. I could choose to experience and collaborate with the expression of truth and peace. I could choose peace no matter what I'm seeing or feeling. I have the ability to do this; it's natural. I don't have to learn how, it's who I am. I am holy and the world I inhabit is holy too.

We're going to look at a section from chapter 5 called the Voice for God. It's all about hearing and recognizing this voice of the universe, this Voice for Peace. What's it like, what are the characteristics? The text gives us a couple of ways to think about it. There is the duality of the voice of the ego, but there is the power of our choice for what is good and what is ours to do. We do want peace and joy and to share that with others. The Voice for God is our truest self that is diligent for our happiness. Why would we listen to any other voice? Because we believe in learning by punishment and believe that guilt is a valuable teacher. Those lessons are coming soon.

Explanation of Images:
The Voice for God is broadcasting all the time. We don’t always know it, believe it or experience it because we’re too busy paying attention to something else. The voice for kindness, compassion, truth and beauty doesn’t shout or try to get our attention. We must choose to follow this Voice. It’s our calling and can be relied upon for comfort and relief from the stress of our opinions. The mind we share with God is always available for  guidance. Many other humans have traveled this way. They are our elders and are interested in showing us the way. Like ducklings we learn to imitate our Mother until we can do it all ourselves. Then we can lead others too. There is guidance in and out of the flesh for us. Listen to the Voice that Likes you. Sometimes it’s in our head and sometimes it’s in our friends and family.
